I didn't mind this actually. Perhaps i was in a forgiving mood when i watched it.

Got it in a three film set from 101 Films. It's probably the worst of the three but i certainly didn't dislike it.

KICK ASS/KICK ASS 2

I had not seen these movies in ages so decided on a double bill.
Yeah, still really enjoyable and I love all the comic book references.
I remember everyone thinking that there would be a standalone ' HitGirl' movie after these, but sadly it never came.

I remember not enjoying Kick-Ass 2 when I saw it. It's been a while since I've seen it, and I don't own it. So if I can stream it I will happily give it another go!

There was clamour for a stand alone Harley Quinn movie after Suicide Squad but that never came either unfortunately.

Perhaps we should be grateful for small mercies. After all we did get a Catwoman stand alone film and look how good that was.

I'm not sure which was the worst spin off - that or Elektra. At least Elektra kept the main actress from the original film so it gets a plus point for that.

Of course i do actually have both films in my collection.

Don't Go In the House

Donny Kohler (Dan Grimaldi) is a poor chap who has been brutalised by his religious nutjob mother all his life by having his arms burnt on the stove. and totally flips out when he comes home from work one day and finds her dead in the chair. at first he panicks, but then starts hearing voices that tell him that he's free and can take revenge on women.
And this leads him to building a steel room and going out on the prowel to pick up women so that he can burn them alive and join his family of burnt corpses.

this is one very creepy and grim film indeed in the Maniac style that is actually well made and extremely compelling. hard to say really that it could be called entertaining but it definately packs a punch.
And is really more of a psychological made horror film, but having said that, it contains incredibly shocking imagery in the harrowing scene of a naked woman being covered in petrol and roasted alive with a flame thrower.

Actor Dan grimaldi gives an outstanding performance in this film and despite his horrific crimes actually comes across as a character you feel a bit sorry for.
but they definately don't make them like this anymore 84 out of 100.

Don't Go In the House I'll have to keep an eye out for that one. Thanks for the great write up, Paul.

It's a classic and I very nearly wet myself watching it again, "A Night at the Opera" is one of those films that deserves praise! It has to be in my top 7 of Marx Brothers' films. 82/10
