Zombie Holocaust 1980.

After learning of limbs and hearts are being removed in a hospital a team travel to a island search for a tribe encounter a mad doctor creating a horde of zombies.

Ian McCulloch returns in another Zombie flick with a bit more of a serious tone this time as a doctor searching for a tribe of cannibals. This has got some nice gore effects especially with a boat propeller and a zombie's head and the usual Italian nudity. Donald O' Brian plays the part of the mad doctor Obrero who's disturbed by a woman's screams as he is operating on. There is a few minor plot holes on how someone can unstrap themselves from a table and nobody notices...should have went to specsavers. Still decent to watch. 7 out of 10.

Psychic Killer 1975.

Arnold Masters held in a mental institute for a murder he didn't commit is given an amulet from a patient he befriended learns he can leave his body and seek revenge on those who wronged him.

This is one of those type of movies where the acting can be a bit OTT, Jim Hutton does play a good part of Arnold, a guy that has a soft side in the institute to the point of having sympathy then being a creative way of revenge killer. It can be slow paced then goes steady then back to slow but worth checking out, there is a good small appearance by Neville Brand. 6-7 out of 10.

The Girl Who Played with Fire (2009)

Sequel to The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and the second of the Millennium trilogy of books featuring Goth hacker Lisbeth Salander and journo Mikael Blomkvist.

This thriller sees Salancer on the run having been accused of three murders as Blomkvist tries to clear her name. To be honest it's not a patch on the first film, despite great performances from Noomi Rapace and Michael Nyqvist it all feels rather muted. It doesn't help that the two barely feature on screen together nor does the fact that it seems to have lost the dangerous cutting edge of the first film.

A major disappointment.

It’s been a while since I saw any of them but I remember being gripped by all 3 episodes! I guess I should make time to revisit them at some point.

Twinky

A schoolgirl falls for an author. The way the subject matter is handled is a product of its time...was appalled more by the 'tight Scottish clerk''s accent tbh. It had a 'public information' feel to it ... or that just might be the film stock . Was worth the wait. Trevor Howard a scream as a 'bad granpa' etc ....

Tall Men

A group of people all pretend that they are in a David Lynch film.

Crimes Of The Black Cat/Sette scialli di seta gialla 1972
This starts of as a total cat o nine tails rip off, blind man hears a conversion and goes investigating the participants. This leads to skag heads, sleazy porn photographers, blackmail, sluts and graphic murder. Some of the gore is top notch for 1972 we have very gory killings the last murder in particular is very well done.
It would make a great double bill with new york ripper.
Highly Recommended if you can find it.
