Skinwalkers (2014)

Bog standard bordering on dull found footage film centering on a group of specialists investigating the possibly supernatural disappearance of a ten year old boy at a Utah ranch.

Whilst the majority of the film is nothing to write home about the final scene is nicely effective and rather memorable.

Corruption (1968, Robert Hartford-Davis)

Er, wow. About as far away from classic Hammer as you could get. Cushing stars as an eminent type what what. The randy scouse git puts a spanner in the works regarding his lovelife, so what's a man to do? Go around the place behaving in the most ungentlemanly fashion, that's what!!! Lawdy. An odd film then surely as PC looks somewhat out-of-time amongst the generic hippy scum that litter the film maaan . Rewatch very shortly with this one.

A number a soldiers are being brutally killed for no apparent reason, might a couple of kindly old spinster know something of what's going on?

Quite slow with little violence and blood and on the whole the acting is pretty poor BUT it's the performances of Flora Robson and Beryl Reid as the sisters that keep you watching. 6/10

A year after he was throwing his mighty weapon at people Chris Hemsworth starred in the horror comedy , it looks and plays out like the usual cabin in the woods horror but there is a secret organisation behind it all, are they just a bunch of sick puppies or is there a reason to the killings ? Lots of little Easter eggs to other movies. 7/10

Now watching

It's doctor not mister scream factory!

Haven't watched this for a while. The second one is decent too. Lets face it, most of these films were shite, but as an historic document of the panic and hours of trailers, its well worth watching.

The Vampire Lovers. A gentleman invites a damsel in distress to stay at his castle, unaware she is a vampire with designs on his innocent young daughter. Ingrid Pitt stars with George Cole, Kate O'Mara and (of course!) Peter Cushing in this early 70s Hammer Horror that adds a female and erotic lesbian twist to the usual vampiric shenanigans, to highly entertaining results. I really enjoyed this one!
Hey, it's Arfur Daley vs vampires. There ain't no universe in which that isn't awesome.

Creep 2

Wheeeeee! They made a sequel to a film that didn't need one. That's never happened before? Awww. You'll love this.
It's a woman that answers the ad this time. A WOMAN.
Groundbreaking.
Kudos. Hail. What happens next is not a musical. That would be Cats. I'm looking forward to it. I'm going to shout "Ulthar!!" every time some one sings words ... hey presto ... Lovecraft: The Musical

Can i just ask all those people who have seen Joker?

It's kind of a spoiler, but do we actually get to see the real Joker, the super villain, or is it simply a film about mental illness?

Without giving too much away, it's almost an origins story, with Arthur Fleck becoming Joker, the homicidal psychopath you'd probably expect him to be, right at the end of the film.
