Super Bitch (1973)

Ivan Rassimov is an undercover cop who has infiltrated two drug gangs. One Italian, run by Mama the Turk (a bizarrely cast although pretty convincing Patricia Hayes) and the other in London hiding behind a front of an escort service which it uses to blackmail wealthy clients.

This Italian-British Poliziotteschi is an enjoyable crime thriller full of strong violence, car chases and double crosses galore, not to mention politicians dressing up as rabbits plus an exquisitely groovy score by Riz Ortolani.

Then there's the lovely Stephanie Beacham. Any fans of her are going to love Super Bitch. All in all Super Bitch is a fine example of Italian crime movies and remains memorable thanks to Massimo Dallamano's classy direction and great performances from Beacham and Rassimov.

Default Mad bay

Mad Max 2.1981.
Ah the post apocalyptic films, back in the 1980’s the future (usually 1994) seemed like a life time away. now it’s not only round the corner but we have managed to overtake most predicted apocalypse Scenarios ,never mind what the bloody Mayans have to say...So the future could possibly be a lot of men in leather chaps with there backside hanging out and quite a lot of fetish wear, unless you’re the good guy’s, which means you will be wearing what looks like cricket clothes and padding to match ,all being orchestrated by a muscle Mary in a Metal mask and a dodgy German accent. And while mayhem ensuses, with probably some of the best car chases and non CGI stunt work ever filmed this side of Bullit, but what always brings a lump to my throat is when they kill Max’s dog.... although driving around the desert like a nutter in that V8 Interceptor is a petrol heads wet dream.

Bay of Blood.1971

Who does not like a pretty waterside resort. Well no one probably except the bay in question is more like a squalid pond full of squid and rotting corpses. Mind you the local residents are not exactly friendly, a more hideous bunch of back stabbing cretins you are ever likely to come across. Its not surprising that betrayal and blood shed ensue, although
The endgame of inherenting this piece of back water real-estate, really doesn’t seem worth all the bloodshed. Any how pretty much all these unlikeable characters end up on the end of someone’s machete, spear or shotgun, and is then dumped unceremoniously in the bay as squid food.I was gob smacked back in the days of Betamax and light perms for men.And even now this film still tickles that gore g spot, although I watched this straight after Friday the 13th part two and low and behold deja vu kicked in,go figure.

If you've got a PS4 then the Mad Max game is solid entertainment.

Although i just finished it the other day and then this shit kicked off, so my reality line is slightly blurred at the minute.

Scobby-doo and the Loch Ness monster.

Scooby and the gang travel to Scotland to visit Daphne's cousin and see the Highland games, they find themselves in a mystery with the legend.

Another outing for the Mystery Inc. gang, it's funny and has a good depiction of the Scottish Highlands, I'm sure we can forgive the Americans with their attempt of the Scottish accent, it's not a bad movie, Frank Welker, Carey Karen, Mindy Cohn and Grey Griffin provide the voices of the gang and Sheena Easton provides the voice of the nessie believer.

Carry On Camping. 1969.

After taking their girlfriends to see a film about a holiday camp for nudists, Sid and Bernie decide to find Paradise Camp. Once there it's not what they want decide to leave until a all girls school turn up.

One of the best in the series with Babs Windsor loosing her nightie or popping out, or Peter Butterworth living upto his Mr Fiddler name, the jokes or one liners come in quick and fast even the film may be outdated they still make us laugh or smile. Love or hate these you can't help but watch them.

We love this one in our house, Babs as a naughty school girl that scene near the beginning where they're all fighting in the common room haha. Fantastic.

Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight (1995)

Great looking monsters terrorize the screen in this feature length Tales From the Crypt movie.

It's an enormously fun battle of good (William Sadler) vs evil (Billy Zane) in a film that homages Romero's Night of the Living Dead, featuring loads of gore and gratuitous violence as Zane and his demon horde lay siege to a church while Sadler tries to protect those within.

To me Carry on films,Hammer films and James Bond are all in the same mix, if i grew up watching them, they might not be the best in the series but they are the best to me.

There's something to be said about early exposure, but i'm not qualified and don't ever want to be...certified maybe.

If i watched it as a kid there's a good chance i will love it forever.

Valley of the Gwangi anyone.
