A FISTFUL OF DOLLARS(1964)

Excellent start for Clint in what would become the 'Dollars Trilogy'.
Strange to think that both 'For A Few Dollars More' and 'The Good The Bad And The Ugly' were already filmed before this movie had it's US release in 1967.

The Hudsucker Proxy (1994)

Take a large dollop of Mr.Deeds Goes to Town, add a tea spoon of It's A Wonderful Life, throw in a hula hoop and sprinkle some Paul Newman on top and you have The Hudsucker Proxy. The Coen Brothers hurrah to the legendary Frank Capra and his fast talking screw ball comedies.

I didn't love this just as much second time around, perhaps if Mr. Deeds Goes to Town wasn't so fresh in my mind from only rewatching it a few weeks ago....

Denzel Washington plays a police detective who after years hunting down a serial killer gets his man. When the killer or executed he thinks it's over , but no long after simular style killings take place, the police believe its the work of a copy cat . But as the body's mount up something supernatural and evil is responsible . 7/10

With eating people as a shark on the ps4 for part of the day , decided to keep with the theme and watching the Meg.

Same here, enjoyed Force Awakens & Rogue One, but Last Jedi was abysmal. Think I'll just stick with the original 3.

Default Zombie Flesh Eaters 2 & Rush Hour 2

Zombie Flesh Eaters 2

A secret military experiment is stolen and a man dies, his body is cremated but the ashes causes a Zombie outbreak. The film follows a group of Soldiers and tourists as they try to avoid the Zombies and Soldiers out to kill anyone in the contagion area. On the credits, it's credited to be directed by Lucio Fulci but I don't believe it's meant to be a direct sequel to Zombie Flesh Eaters. Some decent gore scenes, seen better but seen worse.

Rush Hour 2

Chris Tucker again teams with Jackie Chan, this time they are in Hong Kong investigating a bombing. Certainly enjoyed this more than the 1st one nut Tucker's character is still annoying.

I just watched Oldboy for the first time since probably 2005. For some reason I had forgotten pretty much the entire plot of the film but could remember certain important scenes, the 'prison cell', the live octopus, the hallway fight and the penthouse fight. I couldn't remember anything else.

What a film, absolutely brutal storytelling! Beautiful soundtrack! 5/5

The Last Man on Earth. 1964.

When a plague wipes out the population a lone survivor becomes a vampire hunter.

Based on Richard Matheson's novel shows a bleak post apocalyptic world that was taken out by a plague and turned people into zombie like vampires and a survivor Dr. Robert Morgan played brilliantly by Vincent Price who narrates his daily routine of rounding up dead bodies to put them in a pit, and then goes hunting during the day. There is a sense of sadness and emotion as he remembers his life before the plague with his wife and daughter. filmed in black and white this gives us the dark atmosphere at night when at night they rise to attack and builds up the tension when he is hunting. A great film that can never be boring.

Started yesterday with A FISTFUL OF DYNAMITE and ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST and continued today with the KINO disc of THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY,finishing up with ONCE UPON A TIME IN AMERICA.
Will hit the two Dollars films tomorrow.

Leone and Morricone.A match made in heaven.

My favourite version of the oft told tale.
The Omega Man comes a close second.
