It happens like that sometimes. You can be seemingly drawn to dross. When there were barely any new releases last summer i bought several DTV movies from Asda on shopping trips but thankfully the majority were all more than watchable. I was lucky.

Do you think watching them at work takes away a bit from them as i'm sure you'll have added distractions?

To be honest this weekend has been quiet at work and i'm not complaining
I know some directors start at the bottom and work their way up, it would help if the studios gave these films a decent budget even though they are cash in title, some of them were released last year that may have been made in 2018-2019. Did find some more cash in Amityville movies

Speaking of bad movies. I intend to buy The Reckoning on my next shopping trip.

I know it's supposed to be poor but it's set in the north of England in the 1600's and is about witchcraft. From that tiny piece of knowledge and the fact that Neil Marshall set his Hellboy film in my neck of the woods at Pendle Hill... i reckon i'll love it (Pardon the pun)

So I've just watched Prisoners Of The Ghostland (2021, Sion Sono), and I can honestly say that NC gives one of his greatest line readings ever
Overall I got the feeling of watching a murican remake of something Asian
I know, I know ....

Recommended. For all the wrong reasons

Indeed. Also a source of fun was watching the multitudes blatantly gawping at the camera during the location work ....

Interesting... I just looked this one up, what on earth is Sion Sono doing making movies with Nicolas Cage and Bill Moseley

Just saw this viewer review which made me chuckle...
"I watched this movie at a film festival and its completely bonkers. The script reads like it was written by a child and then translated into another language but its one of those movies that is so bad that it's good. It's like a self-aware version of The Room but with samurai and gunslingers. Definitely worth watching once"
