I really fancied this until I heard about all the pro-religion stuff.
Who funded it? the Baptist Church?

I can't get behind a post-Apocalypse film which decides that starting organised religion again is the way to rebuild humanity!

Shame, as I love me some post-apoc funstuffs, but you can keep your preaching to yourself.

Watched the last house on the left remake. Very poor stuff indeed. Where did they get the actor that played Krug from? Not scary, not sleazy, nothing.
A couple of nice gore scenes gave me a chuckle but this was just painful to watch.
The 'crap remake' pile is growing

Totally agree, I thought it was a superb film, in fact the best film I've seen in a cinema so far this year.

Just finished watching Whistle Down The Wind and really quite enjoyed it. VERY different to the types of films I (and we) normally watch

The Hills Have Eyes: Part 2
Not the inferior sequel to the modern remake but Wes Craven's inferior sequel to his early shocker. Yes this film shocks....... but for all the wrong reasons. This has none of the earthy grit that the first film had. In fact this film falls into teenage slasher territory but with no style whatsoever. Everthing is here that Wes Craven would later send up with the Scream films. This is a below average teens in peril thriller that Wes really should have known better about making.

One Eyed Monster
Tongue in cheek horror about a porn star who gets hit by a strange object from space. He dies, but his penis is posesed, detatches from him and goes on a killing spree. This is not particularly well acted, and considering the plot there is no sex and very little gore but you have to give this some credit for simply going for it in the best possible taste......... sort of.
