I haven't had any problems with this so far, but I feel that I soon have to check all of my old dvds. Just to be safe...

read on SGM that media blasters dvds are causing trouble and not playing
someone said FACELESS stopped at 12.30 and mine stopped at 12.29 to be exact
then skipped a chapter

Wasn't that an issue with Faceless in general I thought? I know there was some big issue with it on first press that stopped me buying it since.

Found it at Rewind

http://www.dvdcompare.net/comparisons/film.php?fid=5358

At the bottom of the SS disc details.

I bought the R1 dvd when first released and no probs
seen it a number of times and it was only when I read on SGM that I checked and it stuck at 12.29
my other dvds are ok

I've also had this problem. Tried playing my SS 'Faceless' disc last week and it froze up as well.
It had previously worked fine, and i even tried it out on my old DVD player as well, but it freezes in exactly the same place too.
Bloody annoying, esp as it was a really nice transfer

I threw out Silence of the Lambs and The Terminator not that long ago because they were both caked in some murky looking gunk that wouldn't clean off. If only I knew (at the time) about an exchange program or something!

There was one, certainly for Terminator.

I bought it twice and both of them were the faulty first pressing.

MGM had a very efficient exchange program in place for both of those discs - I had to get new copies of both. Glad I did now!
