£34.99 from Argos. They are easy to assemble and the each shlef can carry around 40 -50 dvds. Bugger to carry home though!
Thanks for everyones input and these ones look ideal. That's the size I'm after anyway but I'll most probably need 3 or 4 so at least I know I'm going to need to save about £150 give or take.

Bookcases seem the way forward I think, let's hope we time the move for around christmas so I can take advantage of any christmas or New Year sales

I don't know if they may be a little too small, but I have mine housed on the Benno towers from Ikea?

Are they the thing ones, more suited for cds maybe?

I use the Billy bookcase from Ikea but used my mad DIY skillz to rearrange the designated spacing between the shelves so I can fit more shelves in.

They are kind of like the Billy bookcases but smaller. You can rearrange the spacing in the Bennos too

I've decided that I'm going to do something this afternoon that I've been putting off for weeks. I'm gonna sort out my DVD cabinet to try and make room for any new stuff coming my way...........this is gonna take some time

It's not actually that long since I last did it, but it needs doing again because everytime I've got a DVD out to watch, I haven't put it back where it should go so I'm left with piles upon piles of DVD's in no order. Can't cope with the unorganised chaos any longer!

I use Ikea Benno towers too, I've had them years with no problems, only problem is that Ikea tend to change colours so if you want to expand they may have discontinued your colour. Oh and make sure you pin them to the wall as they could easily be pulled over by little people.
