Even though most of my DVD collection is verging on obsolete, the collector in me doesn't want to sell any!

There are a few duplicates which I intend to sell as they were ordered by mistake or gifts of DVDs when I already own the DVD.

Its a mistake getting rid of collections. I ditched all my vhs (except for a few in the back of a cupboard i missed and still own)

As i have learnt to my cost a hell of a lot of (obscurer) films still aren't out on dvd never mind Blu ray, and i doubt i will ever replace them.

Unless you list everything you are bound to forget titles which you intend to replace.

Finally the sheer cost of replacing 2,3000 dvd's will be immense. I spend too much now, never mind replacing everything for a second time.

Sorry to hear that, must have been very upsetting.

I didn't have a lot, but I still wish I kept my VCR and VHS tapes.

I figured as much but, to be honest, I'd rather spend the money on more BDs!

I had a nice delivery of stuff from the US which my uncle brought back after a business trip (I order things and have them sent to his office) so will get some photos of those up here today.
