Who wouldn't be jealous over that collection - those sleeves are so damn sexy. I haven't seen Enemy Mine in years ! How does it hold up ? I remember finding that film strangely moving...

That sleeve for First Blood is great, there's even a Biblical storm brewing over the town... fantastic stuff !

I've never seen a laserdisc in my life.

I always keep an eye out when I got to op shops, but I gues they just weren't popular in Australia

I always wanted a laserdisc player, trouble was the era of the laserdisc was whe n I was a teenager and reliant on my parents, hence it was nigh impossible to pursuade them to fork out for one and when I came of age, dvd was on the market and much cheaper. The discs were pretty expensive. I'm told their are still collectors out there, and maybe if a fat lottery win hits I'd be tempted to pick some up just for the lovely sleeves. That said i'm told star wars trilogy is still sought after on laser to this day.

I take it you mean the original untouched trilogy (which were ported over for the 2004 DVD releases). I have LDs of two of the 1997 releases (and don't have a player!)

I used to lovingly browse the laser discs upstairs in the Manchester Virgin Megastore even though i couldn't play them. They were a bit magical. Your favourite films.... on LP.
