Ordered 10 candle led light bulbs (E14) to try them out.
Here's my conclusions:

Comparison between incandescent candle type light bulb and led light bulb (notice I compared with a "twisted" incandescent because I just had to have that on hand) when not lighted.
The led light bulbs I chose are actually led filament bulbs with a complete glass body (except for the fitting),I chose these especially because they resemble traditional light bulbs the best.



Next up light comparison.

So in conclusion...spent 56 Euro on 10 bulbs including shipping (free thanks to Amazon Germany):

Replaced bulbs so far.

Downstairs:

2 candelabras holding 3 bulbs - before 2x3x25W= 150W --> now 2x3x2W= 12W

Upstairs:

1 small candelabra chandelier holding 2 bulbs - before 2x25W= 50W --> now 2x2W= 4W

2 candelabras holding 1 bulb - before 2x25W=50W --> now 2x2W= 4W

So in total for now 250W --> 20W!

The leds seem fine as a replacement.
And the bulbs (which should last years) have a 2 year warranty as well.

Not strictly lightbulbs, but I have got two each of these, one pair on either side of the television

Sadly, the evenings are much too light (pardon the pun) for me to get the full effect at the moment!

Been experimenting with the leds and seem they don't have the exact same lumen output as my old 25W bulbs,in groups this is no real problem as there's still more than enough light but when only 2 bulbs are lit it's not enough in 1 little room so will have to find some nice replacement candle leds with a higher lumen output for that 1 room.

12 more led bulbs (E25 and of a different type) arrived today.

Here's 6 of them in action in a previously abandoned room.
These are 3W and replace 25W bulbs.



Expecting 20 more soon.

I was 'round at my parents' today so thought I'd take a few snaps of the DVDs I've had signed over the years. I just wish I had the nice Arrow editions of a few of these at the time! Sadly I don't have much room for these hence them being stored at my parents'!
