I have mine by type, then each type by director and order of year they were made, plus they all have to be placed evenly in line.
Every night I have to check they're correctly and evenly in order before I go to sleep or else I wouldn't be able to sleep until I do.
The only dvds I have together thats mixed in styles is Shameless , as I have them together as ' the Shameless collection .

Im the same with my cpu games as well. They're all stored by type, year, company and in preferential order, ie, my Madden NFL is always 1st followed by the rest of that years EA Sports range in of preference, so its always , NFL, NBA, NHL, FIFA, Golf, etc, then they're updated every year on release. Then Racers , Shooters etc. are stored similarly .
Even my NBZ dvd's and cd's have to be kept on a shelf on they're own, away from any other music cd's or dvd's I own.

Im pretty weird when it comes to storing thing's I collect, especially my films , games and nbz stuff.
It's just the way things have to be with me.

Nine Below Zero.

A British R n B / Blues band from South London, that were on the 1st episode of the cult comedy series ' The Young Ones'
Now they headline Blues festivals all over Europe, and played in Belfast last Saturday night. (Brillant gig)
I've followed them religiously from I was 15.

Check 'Albums' on my Shameless Profile page for photo's of the band.
My Avatar is lead singer 'Dennis Greave's'.( he's my favourite)

I thought only women had such bizarre filing systems

What's wrong with alphabetical? The only split I make is between films, music TV series on DVD but everything is alphabetical within them.

Shameless is causing me much concern though as currently they're sat in order (while I'm watching them) to take advantage of the spine image but that can't go on forever - rules are there to be obeyed...

I couldn't store A- Z, it would be utter chaos for me,
I could end up with maniac's sitting next to zombies just cause they share the same 1st letter in their title.....No , thats just plain wrong Dougal, no offence btw, I just I seriously couldn't cope with that.

Shameless cost me a few sleepless nites trying to figure out how to store then as there's titles that would fit in the 'Nasties' section , (NY Ripper), as well as the Fulci section. Thats why I now store them all together under 'Shameless'.

'Killer Nun' and 'Flavia' cause me problem's to, as they're both Nun films but one's a nasty, plus they're 'Nun' films but dont sit together in spine number .

There's some great collections on this thread those tartan dvds are real gems.
i have stored my dvds in cases that hold 10 dvds so i put my films,by genre or director i have about 6 volumes of italian films including a volume of cannibal movies, and post apocalyptic movies.
my lucio fulci collection is quite nice but its all to save space cant see the point of having piles of amaray cases that just have the dvd and a slip cover only.

but i have a few signed items my R1 DAY OF THE DEAD signed by george romero
and my norman j warren coffin set signed by the man himself, whos just the nicest guy ever.

No worries mate, Halloween films are a real passion of mine (Surprisingly )

Working on acquiring a digital camera at the moment (as mine's currently broken) so I can get some pics of my collection up. Not as impressive as Reapers by any means but I'm pretty proud of it, been working on it for about seven years and it's always growing. Hopefully be up soon.
