They aren't all films -- I have about 1900 of those on DVD and over 400 on BD. The rest of my collection is made up of TV, music, sports etc.

Although there will be 'the next big thing', it still won't be able to have images with better quality than a BD used to its full potential which can store all the detail on 35mm film. It may be some form of solid storage, but the AV quality won't improve, just the amount of space it takes up!
