Oh my good lordy...
Do you actually drink these? I'd be afraid to open them.

I adore good whiskey but I have yet to convince my other half that it's an 'interest'!
Do you have a favourite brand or region?

When you are not only interested in drinking it i would call it an interest
It's fun to learn (and taste of course) what every region is known for but i can't say i have any favourite from that perspective. Some whiskies i really like thought, and which i have bought more than once, are Ardbeg Uigeadail (Islay), Glengoyne 18 (Highland), Glen Garioch 12 (Highland), Glenlivet Nadurra (Speyside) and Laphroaig Quarter Cask (Islay) when i'm in the mood.

The Laphroaig quarter cask is a real winner for me. I lean towards Islay myself.

I also enjoy whisky and have been on a couple of tasting trails in Edinburgh before when I've been up that way. They have been quite informative and interesting experiences. I'm not a massive drinker though, so it would probably take me 10 years + to finish off what you've just bought, RTZ!

That lot would be gone in a month tops.
That's why I'd be scared to open them.
