The German Blu is apparently the best release out there so far but I'm personally waiting for Synapse's version.

The synapse release seems to have been coming for years though, does anyone have any idea when we might actually see it?

I know a few of you are avid 'vintage' British film fans, is this worth a purchase? I've just read a nice chapter in a book called 'Out At The Cinema' which talks about pre-civil rights movement gay characters in films and talks a lot about this film with Dirk as a closeted gay barrister. It's only £8.00 on Amazon for the blu-ray - but is the film actually any good?

I think you should look at it this way. Dirk Bogarde didn't tend to make shit films.

There was a quote from Bogarde in the book, and I'm paraphrasing because i can't remember it exactly but he said the best thing about making this film was it stopped all the nutter fanatics from writing to him, thousands of letters a week!

Thanks, I'm going to buy it!

Any thoughts on Nicolas Roeg's Bad Timing? Is Network's blu worth picking up?

It's (I think) the only Nicolas Roeg film I haven't seen, so I'm looking forward to finding out myself. It was only £4.59 so I thought it was worth the blind buy.
