I have the old momentum special edition dvd but the blu was 4 quid in cash converters. I'd heard that its not much of an improvement over the dvd though.

I'm gonna get the Scream Factory Blu once the reviews have come in

I'm guessing that one is worth the upgrade

The Optimum Blu-ray is not particularly bad. In some respects, it is a bit better than the DVD. The blacks of the Blu, for instance, look a lot blacker than those of the DVD (I'm sure there's a technical term for that); so the really dark scenes (and there are quite a few) look slightly better to me.

It's just one of those Blu-rays that don't really blow you away.

Are Slaughterhouse, Don't Go in the Woods… Alone! , and Bloodsucking Freaks only oddities - or are they worth watching?

Not seen Slaughterhouse but Bloodsucking and Don't Go are, er, unique visions by their directors. Trashy and off centre fun in an absurdist way.

I felt ripped off after paying a fiver for Bloodsucking Freaks. Slaughterhouse has nothing new to say that you haven't already seen in slasher cinema and Woods is just poor. I used to have the dvd but got rid after one watch.

I found Bloodsucking Freaks an absolute scummy hoot. Very very B Grade and perverted.

B-Grade? You're being far too kind.

Would you actually recommend someone pay good money for it though?

I'll admit, it almost borders on Z grade, but not quite there.

I'd say not over 8 pounds personally.
