- Can somebody enlighten me: is Rabid Dogs / Kidnapped an important Bava film? I've never seen any version of it before.
- Both films: are last year's Arrow Video releases worth buying when you already own the US Anchor Bay DVDs?

2) Tenebrae. Is there a visible difference in PQ between Arrow's original release and the Steelbook / 2015 edition?
1) I don't know whether Rabid Dogs is 'an important' Bava film, but it's a superbly crafted thriller and the AV quality is exceptional on the recent Arrow Video BD, certainly much better than on any previous DVD release.

2) Speaking as someone who didn't think there was such an issue with the original release, I do think the most recent release is an improvement.

Rabid Dogs features a proper reconstruction of the original cut, as well as Kidnapped, and quality and new extras always makes Arrow blu worthwhile.

As for Tenebre, massive difference. The old is DNR'd and blown out, whilst the new one uses the French Wild Side transfer with extra correction, so it looks organic and proper.

To me Rabid Dogs is so different to the rest of Bava's catalogue it's an oddity rather than essential. It doesn't have any of his classic directorial flourishes in my opinion.

I enjoyed Freddy v Jason when it came out I have only watched the once so maybe that says something might watch it again soon see what I think all these years later. As for the other two you are missing nothing by not seeing them they are pretty pointless.
