I saw it years ago, but remember it being quite arty and visually interesting with some striking photography. It's Donald Cammell who did Performance and Demon Seed, if you like those films it's probably worth a shot.

I wrote a fairly lengthy review (over 1600 words) at the time of its release which I'd be happy to post here if you want: my Final Thoughts were: I hadn't heard of this prior to the announcement that Arrow Video would be releasing it, so was really looking forward to watching the film and filling a gap in my viewing history. Thankfully, I wasn't at all disappointed, even though this doesn't live up to the great heights of something like Performance. As I said earlier, the central performances by David Keith and Cathy Moriarty are very good, but it's Cammell's direction which stays long in the mind, meaning I thought about the film and deconstructed it long after the end credits had finished. It is yet another extremely impressive package from Arrow Video and one which is worth adding to your collection, whether the standard keep case or the steelbook (or both, depending on how much you like the different artwork and when you tend to buy both releases).

I seen it in high school in history class and from what I remember it was great, Ian McKellen's performance was great and twisted, well worth a watch.

I keep hoping that someone puts out Brannagh's Hamlet in HD although I think it's WB so it's unlikely

I quite like it and the Hysteria Continues commentary is a very welcome addition to that release. It is a film which stands up to repeated viewings.
