On a Drive In Delerium Blu Ray, there were a couple of trailers of films that are in the Arrow sale but can't get a handle of whether they are worth taking a chance on.

Deadly Blessing - It's got Wes Craven directing and the synopsis looks good but the trailer made it seem like a generic Horror. I'm just wondering if the film is better than the trailer?

Miracle Mile - Saw the trailer and I don't know what to think really on this one, it looks interesting but I'm wondering if it's weird or gets weird, whether it's easy to understand or just gets complicated?

This is one film, I don't know what to make of it really

Before Miracle Mile was eventually made, the script was rated as one of the ten best unfilmed scripts of the decade by a US film magazine. It is no exaggeration to say that it is one of the best films made during the 1980s. In fact I would personally go further and say it is perhaps one of the finest films that I've seen in my lifetime, and I consider it a masterpiece. The Arrow Blu-ray is a great disc as well.

I have it on both DVD and Blu-ray and yet I still haven't seen the film. It does have a good reputation though and I think it is supposed to be quite a brutal film.

Both are good films

'Deadly Blessing' *is* a weird one. It is thoroughly enjoyable, although the last five minutes or so is pure nonsense...and not in a good way

'Miracle Mile', which I first saw as a part of 'Moviedrome', is a great little zero budget thriller. It's pretty straightforward and not at all complicated to follow and understand

Don’t know about MIRACLE MILE, but DEADLY BLESSING gets a thumbs up from me too.

And me.

Not saying it's a great film or anything but i like it. I seem to like that whole Amish slightly off kilter vibe it has.

Is The Unholy any good?

It sounds promising as it's based on Shrine by James Herbert.

Didn't realise that was out, the book is certainly worth the read but movies based on books can be different and not very close to the source material, anywho I will pick the movie up tomorrow if HMV have it.
