Just saw that the German branch of Fox/MGM will be releasing some action classics on dvd in January, all featuring original artwork and reversible covers without those pesky FSK logo's and the borders? (or "framework" as the rahmen at the bottom of the covers translates to). Here are some of the titles.

CODE OF SILENCE
THE DELTA FORCE.
LONE WOLF McQUADE.
RED DAWN.
AMERICAN NINJA.
AMERICAN NINJA 2.
BLOODSPORT.
THE ADVENTURES OF FORD FAIRLANE.

I'll probably get all of these, especially Delta Force and Ford Fairlane (been hoping these two would be released with these 2 great pieces of art sometime).

MUST get one of those DELTA FORCE discs.

Great to see the cut and pasted Lee Marvin head on to Steve James's body finally disappear.

Didn't know Lee took steroids....

Another collection to collect.

That RED DAWN and AN 1&2 are also must-haves....

It's funny because I was only thinking about how great the original DF art was a couple of weeks ago when I picked up the old Rank/Cannon rental tape. Previous DVD artwork is shockingly bad.

The Delta Force with that classic artwork is a must buy. I'm even going to get Murphy's Law.

Indeed. MGM should hang their head in shame for that monstrosity of a dvd cover. All is now right in the world now.

It's a pity that CYBORG isn't being re-released. That had a great vhs cover.

I've not seen Murphy's Law since it was show on TV in the late 80s where it was probably cut too. Have no recollection of it at all.

I never really got into watching Chuck Norris films back in the day but have always loved Delta Force, got a fair few Norris films to watch (Invasion USA, Code of Silence, Missing in Action, etc) so must dig them out and watch them soon.

Going to have a Norris mini-marathon myself.

I forgot a few more titles...

ROAD HOUSE.
MISSING IN ACTION.

Interestingly, D&T Mailorder lists a commentary on MIA with Joseph Zito.

And a couple more. Yes, some of these are available on blu-ray (a few with the original artwork and a few without).

COMMANDO.
BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA.
OVER THE TOP.
HERO & THE TERROR.
