Not me, but I liked the DAY remake over the DAWN remake, so what do I know!

My Bloody Valentine 3D, I Spit On Your Grave and Straw Dogs are some of the worst remakes, I Spit on your Grave is worst out of these 3 because the original is still one of the most shocking films ever made. I showed 2 of my friends it last year and one of them never wants me to mention it in front of him again.

The new EVIL DEAD remake should make it on here. Lots of gore, very little context. Not scary enough for straight horror and no humour for horror-comedy. No suspense, nothing. Just a bunch of gore scenes and not worthy of the evil dead name.

Children of the corn has got to be one of the worst remakes.
So bad it was shit even as stand alone film even if it wasn't a remake.

Nightmare on elm street extremely bad turned of less than half hr in.

Didn't mind Tcm remake wasn't brilliant but wasn't that bad either.

Any j horror and I mean every one haven't seen one that I thought was even slightly ok.

Friday 13th terrible

Enjoyed hills have eyes thought it was almost as good as original but not quite a raw and hard hitting but good nether less.

I spit on your grave was watchable as a stand alone film but not much cop as a remake.

Last house on left by far of the better remakes highly enjoyed it.

Maniac is another example of a good worthy remake even tho Elijah woods was a strange choice.

War of the worlds just one word TERRIBLE.

Don't care much for Tim Buurtons remakes either like willy wonky and Alice in wonderland , I love Alice in Wonderlandit's a secret pleasure of mine

Thought King Kong was good remake doesn't deserve the criticism it got.

Assault on precent 13 was average wasn't good but wasn't bad either.

Bad

Italian job
Rollerball . Original was fantastic.
When a stranger calls.
Omen very very bad
Gone in 60 seconds and just about any remake that nicolas cage has been in.
Clash of the titans hated this.
Planet of tha apes another Tim burton film,
Sense a pattern here that Tim Burton shouldn't be allowed to do remakes because I haven't liked any of them .

Probably others but just a few of top my head at this precise moment, And loads I forgot about.

Totally agree, it's a shame he hardly goes back to doing stuff similar to his late 80's/early 90's works

Rollerball (2002), bloody awful compared to the 1975 James Caan original.

Default What have they done to exploiation ?

One remake I thought was terrible was 'Last House on the Left' , definately diluting vodka for water with that one.

Also I remember Friday 13th being crapola , I viewed it twice and fell asleep.

The thing with LHOTL remake was how spectacularly it missed the point. The origional was anti-violence and anti revenge, born out of the vietnam era it showed viloence as a dehumanising force no matter who perpetrated it.

The remake basically says violence is great when its for revenge....

Absolutely - I believe the makers of this abortion were cashing in on the notoriety of the original. I am never a fan of remakes of exploitation especially when they try to cross over into the mainstream UNLESS it is done very well like 'I Spit on your Grave' , I was impressed with that although I hear 'I Spit on Your Grave 2 ' is being made - IMO it doesn't really warrant a sequel. How about a remake of Death Wish instead ?
