Earliest cinema memory is The Little Mermaid (1989, making me 6) - remember being scared of the octopus woman baddie. Later had her as a bath toy from a Happy Meal...

Another one was Home Alone - an older friend I was with convinced me we had gone into Arachnophobia by mistake, having seen me get creeped out by the poster as we queued to get in . . .

I hate that film, I was forced to watch it day and night by my sisters.

I feel for you Pete... I don't think I've watched it since.

I've always had an uber-fast metabolism, so even at that age a McDonald's Happy Meal would not satisfy my hunger, so I'd often have a 'proper' adult meal (cheeseburger).

Even though it became tradition that we'd always go to McDonalds after the cinema, I can't remember EVER having a Happy Meal.

Deprived youth.

Funny thing is, I can't stand McDonalds now.

We used to go to McDonalds after our weekly Sunday cinema visit throughout the nineties.

I don't like McDonalds all that much now either. Just occasionally.

Awesome thread idea!

I'm struggling to think what mine was. I do remember seeing Jurrasic Park 2 and Mousehunt at my local cinema at the age of 7. The cinema has since been turned into a church but from what I remember it was huge and made me think of a threatre up in the westend. Of course, I had hardly been to the west end at that age. And this local cinema was in....woolwich. Funny how amazing things seem as a kid.

I'm sure there's other films beforehand though.
