Not 100% on the very first film I saw at the cinema but I clearly remember the first one I saw unaccompanied by an 'adult' being Police Academy 4 - Citizens On Patrol. What's notable about this particular cinema visit is that the film is a 'PG' certificate so I took a note from my mum confirming that I was allowed to see the film ... sadly, this is a true story |

I always say ET, but I have a vague yet unconfirmed suspicion that it may actually have been Dragonslayer. I'm honestly uncertain, that's how young I was then!

I'm pretty sure my first cinema film experience was The Golden Voyage of Sinbad. I can still remember queuing outside the Odeon cinema looking at the film's poster and lobby cards and thinking how great it looked. I wasn't disappointed, I loved it!

I can't really remember, but the earliest I can think of is Jurassic Park. Went to see it with my big sister back in 1993. That movie made such a huge impact on me. I recently learned, that she hasn't went to a cinema since. How different we must be. Later on when it was about to come out on VHS, there was a commercial on TV about this collector's edition of it, which came in this "briefcase" and had a bunch of stuff in it. I recorded that commercial and kept watching it over and over again countless times. It was the coolest thing (and movie) I had seen all my life up to that point. So naturally my mom had to buy it for me. That was my first collector's edition and I still have it! |

The first film I saw at the cinema without parents in tow was Batman from 89. My mates much older cousin was here visiting from England and against his wishes he had to bring us with him. We would of both been only 9 so I can understand how pissed off he was with us ruining any chance of pulling some strange Irish wool

The first film i ever saw at the cinema was 'The Muppets: Christmas Carol' - the first movie i ever saw on my own/with friends was 'Sphere' - it put me off going to the movies for about 5 years. Lol.
