Out of interest have you ever watched City on Fire? if so, what is your opinion on this alongside Reservoir Dogs?

I saw it years ago and thought it was superb, so it's no wonder it influenced Tarantino so much.

It's a little too similar which is where my dislike of him stems. I don't think I'd mind if he wasn't treated like a genius by some people.

I admire his ability to act as the equivalent of a cinematic recycling plant, taking in every film he has ever seen, analysing the shots, angles, taking dialogue and stories from his life and making something new from them, but I also wish his films weren't so full of references and were more original in content and execution.

I think recycling plant is a good way to describe him. I don't know how original he can be and part of the problem is for the good part he gets away with it, by this I mean a large bulk of his audience don't care where it came from, he doesn't have to be original plus he is having a stack load of money thrown at him so why bother?

I wouldn't call Tarantino a 'genius' (very few in the film business deserve such an accolade), but I still think he's one of the best Hollywood directors of the last thirty years. His creepy performance in From Dusk Till Dawn and the brilliant 70s Grindhouse tribute film Death Proof stand out and still stick in my mind.

As for "Classic Films You (i.e. I) Love To Hate" - Thelma & Louise. I pretty much like Natural Born Killers, Miami Blues is quite entertaining, and Kalifornia is a brilliant piece of work... but this particular road movie always left me cold. I don't know why...maybe the reason is Susan Sarandon... or it's because I love the spoof in Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult... I just don't know. Another road movie I never rated is True Romance. In this case, I'm pretty sure it's because of Christian Slater and the incoherent script.

I was a big fan of The Lion King when it came out, despite never watching it, still haven't seen it, Disney just leaves me cold, yet I love Disney World. Mainly for the Epcot Centre. Can't believe they got rid of the Horizons ride, how else will we know what the future holds?

Easy - watch films like the 'Back To The Future' trilogy. Not only do they tell us history as it actually happened, they are really good pointers for what the future is going to be like!

Oh dear, no, not the third installment. Am I the only one that hates this? I know James mentioned at his work all the kids in their early twenties all put the third as their favourite out of the series but I (and James) found it dire.

Maybe I should just watch The Jetsons instead? That lifestyle must only be a few years, possibly months away.
