"Requiem for a Vampire" with the two girls dressed as clowns is my favourite opening to a film. I couldn't find a clip of that only so here's another image from the film.

The title sequence for No Escape with Ray Liotta (which I rewatched recently) is an absolute belter - really quite unexpected.

My fave has to be Touch Of Evil - absolutely masterful:

Also really love Kubrick's The Shining:

In recent years Martyrs really stands out along with the very recent Drive.

Noe's Enter The Void is defo my fave, but I really loved the Irreversible credit/title sequence. Really baffled me when I first saw it.

Yeah, a great ominous opening - if I remember rightly NoƩ says on the commentary track that he was influneced by the credits style of Tarkovsky's film Stalker. By the way, doesn't Thomas Bangalter's music sound like Hamburger Lady ?

Have to agree with this

Very disturbing and un-nerving. Set the tone for the following 2 hours perfectly

The closing credits are just as disturbing

That will be Coil's great remix of a forgettable Nine Inch Nails tune...
