You should copyright the idea and sell it to the folks at The Asylum ;)

Have The Asylum ever been worried about material being copywrited in the past?

Now I can't possibly know what you could mean Ms. Jackson, The Asylum are stalwarts of integrity and good taste, driven to produce nothing but the finest class of film product ;)

I'm sorry but with a PIC like this for a advertisement for a horror would actualy put me of wanting to watch the film the PIC prob more scary than the film, awful isn't the word ,
Surely it must be the worst picture for a advertisement for a horror

If he's in it then it's clearly a Scary Movie type parody

bizarre_eye@Cult Labs 2nd February 2014 03:04 PM

The poster is a rip-off of The Devil Inside poster:

http://31.media.tumblr.com/9ff4c1938...wdhpo1_500.jpg

...which must be one of the (many) films they'll be parodying in this particular lump of cinematic fecal matter.

However, with The Devil Inside also resembling fecal matter (in more ways than one) the two films could be comparable. ;)

A mate of mine went to see it with his girlfriend the other week, he said if he hadn't paid good money to see it, he would've walked out halfway through. So, on that recommendation, I've no desire to see it myself

bizarre_eye@Cult Labs 2nd February 2014 03:10 PM

No exaggeration, but it's one of the worst films I've ever seen.

Not only is it laughable and poorly presented (as with certain films this can be forgiven to some extent), but it is mind-numbingly, ass-achingly DULL.

That's pretty much what my mate said

Well I'm particularly looking forward to Lars Von Trier's two-part Nymph()maniac.

Cinema has been a little stale for a while, and Lars will shake it up again.

Coming to America , The Golden Child , Metro , The Nutty Professor , Life and the PJs are also great. Granted the PJs he is just voice acting but still great stuff.

Demdike@Cult Labs 8th May 2014 06:42 PM

I watched Coming to America recently for the first time in about twenty years. - Still brilliant.

Forgot about Bowfinger! Great film.

Paul@TheOverlook 8th May 2014 08:16 PM

Bowfinger was his last good film, IMO. It's a shame he's been stuck in a rut making kids films because he's at his best in r-rated comedies.

He really has no-one to blame for the kids films but himself. He became a star because of the harder/profane R-rated films, God knows what possessed him to decide to go with the family films. It's not what his famns want. I'd rather watch Beverly Hills Cop 3 than Norbit. Oh, I actually like BHC3 btw. :)

bizarre_eye@Cult Labs 9th May 2014 06:55 AM

Trading Places is probably my favourite Murphy film, closely followed by Coming to America and the first two Beverly Hills Cop films.

I'm a little shocked that Coming to America is popular, I watched it a few months back for the first time and thought it was awful, didn't even raise a smile throughout it and I'm always a smiler, I pretty much like everything and always enjoy some crap films but this just had nothing going for it in my opinion
