‘Jumanji’ Producer To Develop Emerson, Lake & Palmer Song ‘Karn Evil 9’ As A Sci-Fi Movie | Deadline

"Emerson, Lake & Palmer's sprawling progressive rock opus 'Karn Evil 9' is being turned into a science fiction movie.

The 1973 piece of music, which forms the majority of ELP’s 1973 masterpiece ‘Brain Salad Surgery’, clocks in at almost 30 minutes and is divided into three “Impressions” that tell the futuristic dystopian story of humankind’s war with computers.

The CEO of Radar Pictures, American media mogul Ted Field, will executive produce. He has worked on dozens of movies over the decades including Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, Arachnophobia, and the recently revived Jumanji series."

1st Impression: 0:00 - 13:22
2nd Impression: 13:23 - 20:00
3rd Impression: 20:31 - 29:37

A new exorcist film

https://wegotthiscovered.com/movies/...ortedly-works/

New Sequel To The Exorcist Reportedly In The Works

Since The Exorcist spider-walked into cinemas in 1973, the franchise has been a byword for sheer terror. Over the following decades, it’s spawned three sequels of varying quality, two TV shows, a stage show and a pretty scary VR game. Now, we’re hearing that the producers behind the franchise are eager to bring The Exorcist back to the big screen once more.

According to sources close to WGTC – the same ones who told us a new Scream movie is in the works, Bill Murray is returning for Ghostbusters: Afterlife and that Lethal Weapon 5 is moving forward with Danny Glover and Mel Gibson, all of which have been confirmed now – the current plan is a story focusing on the granddaughter of Linda Blair’s Regan. Plot details are still scarce, but as you’d expect from an Exorcist movie, we’ll see the girl being possessed by a demon (possibly the original Pazuzu out for revenge) and the efforts to get rid of it.

As Regan is one of the most iconic characters in horror cinema, it makes sense to include her in some capacity. She’s appeared throughout the franchise, too, with Exorcist II: The Heretic showing us her teenage years and The Exorcist TV show showing her as a mother trying to protect her daughter from demons.

My bet is that, in keeping with the current fashion for soft reboots, the new film will follow the template laid down by 2018’s Halloween. That movie successfully positioned itself as a sequel to the original 1978 pic, disregarding the tangled continuity that followed. Going down this route would make sense for The Exorcist, as the franchise is now a rat’s nest of contradictory prequels, sequels and reboots. As such, taking things back to basics and being a loose sequel to the original is probably the best way to go.

In any case, the franchise has acquired a reputation for production woes over the years.
The original movie saw multiple injuries on set, The Exorcist III saw an acrimonious stand-off between studio and director William Peter Blatty and the fourth film in the series was released in two versions (Exorcist: The Beginning and Dominion: Prequel to the Exorcist) after the studio-mandated cut received overwhelmingly terrible reviews. Here’s hoping things go a bit smoother with this next Exorcist movie.

When was the last time you saw a trailer for a film that made you yearn for something from The Asylum or Uwe Boll?

'Jurassic Thunder', coming to DVD and Digital on March 10th, 2020

Chris Evans in Talks to Star in Greg Berlanti's 'Little Shop of Horrors' (Exclusive) | The Hollywood Reporter

"Chris Evans is in negotiations to play a key character in Little Shop of Horrors, a new big-screen take of the cult movie turned Broadway musical being directed by Greg Berlanti.

Warner Bros. is behind the project that has been flirting and courting actors since last fall. Scarlett Johansson and Taron Egerton are circling leading roles in the horror comedy, with Billy Porter already signed up.

Egerton and Johansson are in various stages of talks for the respective roles of Seymour and Audrey, although discussions are ongoing and it is unclear if deals will be made. Porter, whose deal is signed, will give voice to the carnivorous plant.

Evans will play the role of dentist Orin Scrivello, Audrey’s abusive and sadistic boyfriend, who finds great pleasure in his chosen profession. The role is flashy (the character loves to use laughing gas) and comes with the scene-stealing signature song, “Dentist!”

The project is based on the 1960 Roger Corman movie that was adapted into a popular musical in the early 1980s, which itself was adapted as a 1986 movie starring Rick Moranis. Steve Martin played the dentist in that version.

Marc Platt, Sarah Schechter and Berlanti are producing the new adaptation, which is set to shoot this summer"

It's ok I found this online

To Be Someone is an English film scheduled for release in 2020, loosely related to the 1979 movie, Quadrophenia. The film is in fact a sequel to the book, Quadrophenia, rather than the movie specifically. The film is directed by Ray Burdis and written by Pete Meadows.

The film is directed by Ray Burdis. The film stars some of the original Quadrophenia cast, including Gary Shail, Toyah Wilcox, and Phil Daniels. This film was however based on the book sequel, which itself was based on the rock opera. Ray Burdis has specifically said that the movie is not a sequel to the original Quadrophenia movie, though it does feature some of the characters, and is set in the mod subculture.
