A new evil dead film. https://www.joblo.com/horror-movies/...rector?sfns=mo Earlier today we passed along word that Sam Raimi is currently writing a new movie with his brother and DRAG ME TO HELL co-writer Ivan Raimi. I've been dying to know what it is and I've been looking all over these here internets since. I still haven't found out. BUT all is not lost as I did find out that while he was at NYCC last night promoting THE GRUDGE, Raimi confirmed he’s developing another EVIL DEAD movie under a new director. Oh, and with Bruce Campbell acting as the producer! There’s more Evil Dead coming. I don't know about you but I can only hope that he means there will be another entry in the Jane Levy remake series. God knows that's just what all of us horror fans need in our life. No kidding. Please, Hollywood, bring on EVIL DEAD PART II. Speaking of which, the 2013 remake followed: Mia (Jane Levy), a drug addict, is determined to kick the habit. To that end, she asks her brother, David (Shiloh Fernandez), his girlfriend, Natalie (Elizabeth Blackmore) and their friends Olivia (Jessica Lucas) and Eric (Lou Taylor Pucci) to accompany her to their family's remote forest cabin to help her through withdrawal. Eric finds a mysterious Book of the Dead at the cabin and reads aloud from it, awakening an ancient demon. All hell breaks loose when the malevolent entity possesses Mia. EVIL DEAD (2013) was directed by Fede Alvarez from a screenplay written by Alvarez along with Rodo Sayagues based on The Evil Dead by Sam Raimi. Raimi produced the remake along with Campbell and Robert Tapert. The flick starred Jane Levy, Shiloh Fernandez, Lou Taylor Pucci, Jessica Lucas, and Elizabeth Blackmore. |

The music was completely wrong for the trailer though. Imagine the same trailer but with the opening 80 seconds and then chorus of Slipknot's Pulse of the Maggots behind it... Much more effective. A shit publicity department in action methinks. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3TokaT9MPLM |
Looks to be an interesting documentary, limited release in the UK though http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y3zkvJBXLQg Sent from my PRA-LX1 using Tapatalk |

Karen Gillan Being Eyed To Lead Pirates Of The Caribbean Reboot | We Got This Covered "The future of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise has been up in the air for quite a while now. Several months ago, the House of Mouse dropped the series’ lead, Johnny Depp, following – but not officially caused by – Amber Heard’s allegations of sexual abuse. Depp has since blamed his ex-wife’s op-ed in The Washington Post for Disney’s decision, and the ensuing legal mess has been far from kind. But as that drama has unfolded in the courts, Disney has remained confident that the franchise can continue without Depp. The studio’s eyes have since been set on a female-led reboot, penned by Deadpool and Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (though both eventually bailed on the project). And aside from those tiny details, we haven’t heard much else. Until now. According to sources close to We Got This Covered – the same ones who told us the leads of Ghostbusters 3 would be young teens and that an Aladdin sequel was in development, both of which have since been confirmed – Disney is eyeing Jumanji and Guardians of the Galaxy star Karen Gillan to headline the reboot. Appropriately, the character she’d be playing is a pirate named Red and she’d pioneer whatever uncharted territories the franchise decides to explore. Now, we know that a lot of fans are still very upset about the burial at sea of Captain Jack Sparrow, but this possibility shouldn’t be accompanied by frowns. Over the last decade, Gillan has proven herself as a more than capable action star, with supporting roles in the aforementioned films, as well as Doctor Who. So, as far as I’m concerned, if Disney decides to move forward with this Pirates of the Caribbean reboot, the 31-year-old actress would be a very solid choice." |

https://bloody-disgusting.com/movie/...ys-wonderland/ Nicolas Cage Will Battle Animatronic Monsters in an Amusement Park in Horror Film ‘Wally’s Wonderland’ It’s always special with Nicolas Cage is paired up with a wacky concept, and this sounds like one of those magical projects. Reported by Deadline, Cage has been set to star in director Kevin Lewis’ Wally’s Wonderland, a horror film wherein Cage “will play a janitor forced to spend the night in a twisted amusement park where he is pulled into a living nightmare.” “As the threatening animatronic characters come to life, the janitor has to fight his way from one monster to another to survive until morning and get out of the park.” Production is expected to begin early next year. |

'Scoob' - May 2020 Personally, I don't think that 3D CGI looks anywhere near as good or effective as traditional hand drawn animation |

I think you're both missing out, i grew up with the original Planet of the Apes films and have watched them so many times. The new ones are respectful of the idea's but take the story in a different direction so they do not ruin the originals like some reboots do. All three of the new trilogy are good but my favourite is Dawn of the planet of the apes which for me personally is my second favourite of the entire apes saga, only beaten by the original 1968 film. They show up on TV quite a bit so they are definitely worth watching if you're at a loose end one night.;) |
Honey I Shrunk The Kids Reboot?? Honey, I Shrunk the Kids” director Joe Johnston is in negotiations to helm Disney’s upcoming reboot of the film franchise, “Shrunk,” with Josh Gad in talks to star. Gad pitched the story idea to Disney earlier this year, and the studio jumped on board the idea of reviving the classic 1989 pic starring Rick Moranis. “Shrunk” will mark the third sequel following the original film, with “Honey, I Blew Up the Kid” and direct-to-video “Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves” bowing in 1992 and 1997, respectively. Johnston was not involved with either film. The studio met with other directors but felt bringing Johnston back was a perfect fit for all involved. David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman are producing through their Mandeville Films and Television banner, with Todd Rosenberg penning the script. In the original film, Moranis plays Wayne Szalinski, a scientist and father who accidentally shrinks his teenage son and daughter, along with the two brothers from next door. |
