That's true, but it still fell flat to me. Doesn't look awful... but doesn't look much like Ghostbusters either. Some things should just be left alone. |
This isn't so much a video of up-and-coming films, more are films which have recently been and gone from cinemas. I recognise quite a few that I've seen trailed but really want to see when time/money allows. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0SnuMAfDlgo |

What's next? Ghostbusters with CGI cats and dogs? |

At least the originals will get a re-release. |

Actually coming up with ideas that audiences might actually want to see. Ridiculous. |
Apart from Harold Ramis, the original cast are in this one, I’m hoping they’ve managed to coax Rick Moranis out of retirement for a cameo seeing as Annie Potts is confirmed to return as Janine |

I don't know if this has been posted already but I saw the trailer at the cinema this morning and I thought it looked exciting. 1917 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YqNYrYUiMfg |

I'm not sure about this really, perhaps The Curse (1987) will still be better! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RfYAXMwCpk0 |
I think it will be ........ another disappointing HPL adaptation myself ;) |

It’s not out until Mid Jan, it might be streaming in the US where I’ve seen very positive reviews but we can’t see it for another 3 weeks. I imagine something quite Lovecrafty with the building tension and ‘creeping fear’. Looking forward to seeing it. |

Cats appears to be a total flop. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-50891086 I love how the final paragraph really goes clutching for straws by mentioning The Greatest Showman...a film which ended up a worldwide phenomenon. :xmasnuts: |

The problem with 'Cats' is that it is unfilmable The stage show, which is very good I hasten to add, is nothing more than a series of songs and dances based around the poems of TS Eliot. It is sang-through, with no spoken dialogue at all. With the exception of the first four songs (The Overture / Prologue: Jellicle Songs for Jellicle Cats / The Naming of Cats / The Invitation to the Jellicle Ball) and the last three (Memory / The Journey to the Heaviside Layer / The Ad-Dressing of Cats), everything inbetween can be played in any order, with no loss to the story To place a narrative on the story is making additional work! It *may* have worked as an animated feature, which is what Spielberg wanted to do in the 1980's, but a new live action thing is pretty much redundant due to the fact that there has already been a DTDVD release of the filmed stage show in 1998 https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon....ML._SY445_.jpg https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon....1WK5Q1E2AL.jpg No doubt I will get a copy of the new version when it is released, but whether I watch it more than once remains to be be seen |
