After all these years, is that the best the film industry can do these days ? There seems to be more Reboot, remake, cash in, sequels, spin offs, tv shows based of films. Than anything else these days, why can't they just leave some films as a stand alone film. What next Burning, slayer, NIADB feel no film seem to safe anymore for one off the above. |
Must be all to do with the name. Genre fans will of course know of The Mutilator so a film released in association with that would gain more news articles and sales than something entirely new which would have to generate it's own word of mouth. |

I don’t mind it, saw it at the cinema and watched it again on Netflix at the end of last year |

Morbius trailer looks good. I see the Spider-Man poster on the wall sprayed with 'murderer' after the events of FAR FROM HOME. Michael Keaton back at the end as well. New BLACK WIDOW trailer # 2 featuring Taskmaster. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ej-XRQgC1X8 |

Harrison Ford in Call of the Wild. Out in Feb. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5P8R2zAhEwg Not sure what to make of this. It's obviously good that there won't have been any animal cruelty as there aren't any animals in it. I don't know. Is it really a family film? I mean will this have as it's finale ford dead under the ice with the dog tragically trying to claw him free and failing as happened to Charlton Heston in his version? This one probably doesn't co-star George Eastman either. |
So we can't have real dogs in movies anymore now? Pass on this ridiculousness. |
Sony has pushed back the release date of its live-action adaptation of “Uncharted” from Dec 18, 2020 to March 5, 2021, the date originally set aside for the studio’s live-action adaptation of the “Masters of the Universe” cartoon series and toy line. “Masters of the Universe” has subsequently been removed from Sony’s release schedule and is now dated “TBD” by the studio. Based on the popular Playstation action-adventure video game series, “Uncharted” will star Tom Holland as Nathan Drake, a treasure hunter and adventurer whose quests for rare and mythical artifacts often runs him afoul of drug lords, war criminals and other assorted bad guys. A director for the film hasn’t been formally announced, but just this month Ruben Fleischer (“Zombieland: Double Tap”, “Venom”) became Sony’s top choice. Sony Pushes ‘Uncharted’ Movie Back 3 Months, Takes ‘Masters of the Universe’ Off the Schedule Most recently set to be directed and co-written by Aaron and Adam Nee, “Masters of the Universe” will follow the adventures of He-Man, a powerful warrior who defends the magical planet Eternia from the machinations of the evil wizard Skeletor. It’s based on the hugely popular line of toys launched in 1982 that spawned an equally successful cartoon adaptation, “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe,” and a spinoff, “She-Ra: Princess of Power.” Noah Centineo has been cast as He-Man. Sony has also moved “Happiest Season,” it’s LGBT romantic comedy starring Kristen Stewart and Mackenzie Davis, to Nov. 25, 2020, five days later than originally scheduled, while the Kevin Hart drama “Fatherhood” has pushed back 7 days to January 15, 2021. Finally, the studio has slated “Man From Toronto,” a previously unannounced film from Columbia Pictures, for Nov. 20, 2020 |

Leathal Weapon 5 Lethal Weapon fans might be in for a big surprise! More than 30 years after the first installment in the action film franchise, there’s a new sequel reportedly in the works. Producer Dan Lin confirmed Lethal Weapon 5 is close to happening during a roundtable interview with The Hollywood Reporter published Monday. According to Lin, Mel Gibson and Danny Glover are returning for the movie, as well as director Richard Donner. “We’re trying to make the last Lethal Weapon movie,” he said. “And [Richard] Donner’s coming back. The original cast is coming back. And it’s just amazing. The story itself is very personal to him. Mel [Gibson] and Danny [Glover] are ready to go, so it’s about the script.” Lethal Weapon 5 has had a long on-again-off-again history in the time since the fourth film premiered in 1998. Donner has hinted at the existence of a fifth film multiple times, but most recently lamented that it likely would not happen due to issues with the studio Warner Bros. “I’m ready to do 5. It’s called Lethal Finale,” the director said in a February 2018 interview. “It is dark, but I wanted to end it on an emotional note, and I don’t think it’s gonna happen. It’s heartbreaking. |
They're all way too old for this shit. :behindsofa: |
