Donald Pleasance is just brilliant in Wake in Fright. Really makes the film.

"I came here to kick ass and chew bubblegum, and i'm all out of bubblegum."

The mighty Roddy Piper in They Live.

In a similar vein, Ash in Army of Darkness - "You're Lord of Jack and shit and Jack just left town."

I enjoy the film for what it is - Bale is pretty good in it, but yes not as good as the book... however the tone of the book is difficult to relay via film so I understand to some degree the direction they went in with it.
