No, they're not. Basket Case is locked to Region A. Nice way to mislead people. Could we please stick to facts on this thread and not proclaim something region-free when it clearly isn't. I know that might sound harsh, but if I wasn't savvy on what's coded and what's not, I'd be mightily pissed off if I'd gone and ordered the title and then found out the poster had misled me and I'd bought a BD I can't play.

Could I also ask that the OP create a master list that can be updated.

I do believe that Warners and Universal release all of their titles Region Free and some of Paramount's are free too.

Most of Paramount's are Region Free, very few ate locked. Universal has locked some UK discs, notably the David Lynch films.

Hmmmm.....interesting. After investigation apparently, with Basket Case, when you get the region code warning just press 'top menu' and you can bypass the region-coding.

Wonder how many other discs this 'trick' works on?

Yeah - the basic idea was that we could list titles of BDs that we have bought and tested ourselves, rather than just reading up on it somewhere, thereby creating a constantly updated and reliable source of info.

The following discs are region free and work fine on my sony bluray player

The Boogens
Zaat
Burial ground despite the case displaying the A locked symbol
Basket Case. When you reach the 'won't play in your region'segment hit
top menu on your remote and you'll be taken to the main menu with all the
options at your disposal.
Mojo and Bringer Of Funerals like this.
