Um..."Gremlins 2: The New Batch"

Didn't the title give it away?

I think i prefer the original Gremlins, tho the second part was OK and quite inventive.

I don't know what it is about Exorcist 2: The Heretic that is so Compelling for me, but i just really really like it. i don't think its better than the original in any way i just find myself in the mood to watch it more than any of the others, tho the third is a very underrated movie.

Final destination 5 is my favorite i think, 5 or 2, i think i watched the first so many times I'm bored with it, strange how that happens with some movies, then others like Carrie, Poltergeist or films like Killer Klowns From Outer Space i never tire of.

I agree, I'm in hope that the new Carrie movie is OK, we'll just have to wait and see. i think the casting for the 2002 version was very well done, apart from the two most important characters (Momma and Carrie) - whoever made it didn't really understand the characters or their relationship, but hey-ho, i still watch and enjoy it.

I can relate:
For years I'd only seen Sleepaway Camp 2, and Sleepaway Camp 3 (named Nightmare Vacation here) and i could never find the original, it was back in the VHS days and the internet didn't have any information on "Nightmare Vacation" - i started to believe it was like a marketing gimmick, they explain the whole movie in the beginning of the second one and i started believing it began there -- kinda like Star Wars Episode 4?

I was quite excited when i finally found a fan of the original by accident and he verified its existence!

Got to admit to a love of the Hammer Dracula sequels. They just kept on getting dafter.

I've always rather enjoyed the Hellraiser sequels - parts 3 & 5 are definitely guilty pleasures.

Me too. A.D. 1972 is a favourite!

What are the post-Hell on Earth Hellraiser sequels like ? Any secret gems hidden among them ?

I really like Part 5: Inferno. It's more of a dark thriller, but it's the second best sequel after Hellbound, for me.

They're all enjoyable in their own way, but most of them are films that Dimension were already working on and decided to add Pinhead et al to turn it into a Hellraiser film. As for the last one-Revelations, this really isn't as bad as people say, seems strange that it hasn't received a UK release yet
Wes and Demdike@Cult Labs like this.

I like all the Hellraiser films with Doug Bradley as Pinhead. (Not seen the other). Strangely i've probably seen all the later sequels more times than parts 2 and 3.

Hellseaker featuring the return of Kirsty is probably my favourite of the later ones but Inferno as Bizarre_eye mentioned is also very good. A Hellraiser film noir.

I must investigate these sequels - I have no idea what happened to the Hellraiser series after the 3rd film...
