39 steps ltd series.

Netflix Picks Up The 39 Steps Starring Benedict Cumberbatch
The limited series will offer a modern take on Hitchcock’s classic film.

Netflix is officially bringing The 39 Steps to the small screen. The limited series will be based on novelist John Buchan’s 1915 thriller, which Alfred Hitchcock brought to life in his 1935 hit film starring Robert Donat and Madeleine Carroll. Here’s everything we know about the show so far:

Netflix has officially signed on with the project.

According to Deadline, Anonymous Content, Chapter One Pictures, and SunnyMarch are teaming up to produce the series. Edward Berger (Your Honor) will direct and Mark L. Smith (The Revenant) will write the show.

Anonymous Content announced plans for the series in February and began exploring options with different networks. Berger, Smith, and Cumberbatch were already slated to work on it. In a report released in early April, Deadline officially revealed that the show will air on Netflix.

Benedict Cumberbatch will star as the lead role.
Cumberbatch (Sherlock, The Imitation Game) will play Richard Hannay and will also serve as an executive producer on the series. No further details about the cast have been shared publicly.

The story plays out in modern times.
The series will bring Buchan’s classic into the modern-day world, per Deadline. Additionally, the publication described the series as an “action-packed conspiracy thriller.” Further, Hannay, played by Cumberbatch, is “an unwitting pawn in a vast, global conspiracy to reset the world order: 39 steps that will change the world as we know it.”

Production is set to begin in 2022.
Deadline reports there will be at least six episodes, each one hour long, and production will start next year in Europe.

Fingers crossed that it's a good production. The recent Good Omens is, erm, a good omen lol... As long as Gaiman has some artistic say, and I'm sure he will, then it should be great!

The trailers in the link.

R.L. Stine’s Gets R-Rated In the Trailer For Netflix’s ‘Fear Street’ Movies

R.L. Stine is known as the king of kid-friendly horror, thanks to his Goosebumps book series. Another of his horror novel series, Fear Street, was always aimed at older kids, but somewhere in the translation to a franchise for Netflix — three films hitting the streaming service in back-to-back-to-back weeks — they got even darker.

“Readers know that the book series is rated PG. But the movies are rated R. That means a lot more thrills-- and a lot more terror!” Stine wrote earlier this year in introducing the first teaser for the Fear Street films. Now a new trailer for the films is here, and it confirms they will definitely up the scare factor from the books.

The three interconnected movies are set in three distinct time periods: 1994, 1978, and 1666. According to director Leigh Janiak, each one of the movies pays homage to different horror movies from those eras; 1994 is inspired by Scream, 1978 borrows from the classic slashers like Halloween and Friday the 13th, and 1666 took a page from, of all things, Terence Malick’s The New World

Here is the trilogy’s official synopsis:

In 1994, a group of teenagers discover the terrifying events that have haunted their town for generations may all be connected - and they may be the next targets. Based on R.L. Stine's best-selling horror series, FEAR STREET follows Shadyside's sinister history through a nightmare 300 years in the making.

Fear Street Part 1: 1994 premieres on Netflix on July 2. Fear Street Part 2: 1978 follows on July 9. Fear Street Part 3: 1666 wraps up the trilogy on July 16. They definitely don’t look like they are for little kids. (Stick to the Goosebumps movies for them.)

Cobra Kai season 4 announced for December.

https://www.empireonline.com/tv/news...of-the-valley/

Cobra Kai: Season 4 Teaser Promises A Battle For The Soul Of The Valley

Since moving to Netflix, Karate Kid follow-up series Cobra Kai has become something of a sensation, drawing in new eyes and re-igniting the old rivalry between Ralph Macchio's Daniel LaRusso and William Zabka's Johnny Lawrence while also deepening their characters and introducing a young cast to aid in telling the story going forward. Season 4 of the show is on its way by the end of the year and the first teaser promises a brand new conflict in an old familiar place...

Yes, as fans will know, the end of the third season saw LaRusso's Miyagi-Do and Lawrence's newly created Eagle Fang dojo joining forces to take down Cobra Kai. The big clash will happen at the All Valley Under 18 Karate Tournament... and whoever loses must hang up their gi. As Samantha LaRusso (Mary Mouser) and Miguel Diaz (Xolo Maridueña) try to maintain the dojo alliance and Robby (Tanner Buchanan) goes all in at Cobra Kai, the fate of the Valley has never been more precarious. What tricks does Kreese (Martin Kove) have up his sleeve? Can Daniel and Johnny bury their decades-long hatchet to defeat Kreese? Or will Cobra Kai become the face of karate in the valley?

Added to that, we know that Kreese has reached out to old war comrade Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith) once more, and the man who caused real chaos for Daniel in The Karate Kid Part III will be back for more ponytailed trouble.

Netflix is still playing coy about the specific release day, but we do know at least that the show is now returning in December. Strike first, strike hard, no mercy... Santa
