Default Tyburn Film Productions UK

Another tiny UK film company whose films are sadly now very hard to see at all.
Of the three horror films they produced, many cite Legend of the Werewolf with the legendary Peter Cushing as their fave.
Mine has to be The Ghoul which also starred Cushing.

Fans of Hammer studios will see many familiar names within the credits of this very short-lived UK company.

Their films are long overdue for release on digital disc,be it sdvd or BD.

BD would be nice though!

The Ghoul in HD-A dream come true!

Any fans?

What's your favourite?

Where did you first see them?

There's a nice insight to Tyburn films here......

I have all three on vhs sell thru releases. Unfortunately i haven't seen any of them in at least fifteen years.

Somebody needs to wake up and smell the coffee and get these out on dvd at the very least.

You used to be able to get The Ghoul on old Mill Creek / Treeline sets, but i always held off due to its apparent poor quality, now the sets aren't available either i don't think.

I was always under the impression Kevin Francis wanted too much for the dvd rights to the films (correct me if I'm wrong).Be nice to see a 4 dvd boxset of all their films including Sherlock Holmes & The Masks Of Death:

How is it that these gems have never had a DVD release ?
I thought at one time that DD Distribution who released The Creeping Flesh,Island Of Terror, Blood Of The Vampire etc. in the UK would release them but unfortunately for us they went bust !

Lucky enough I still have my BBC versions to keep me going.
I first saw The Ghoul on the Saturday night BBC2 double bills, teamed up with Night Of The Demon and has remained a favorite of mine ever since.

There must be thousands of gems on VHS that haven't made the conversion over onto DVD, and baffles me why when you look at half of the shite that get transferd onto blu ray.

I have never heard anything about this production company, until I heard Mick Garris mention something about them on the Tales from the Crypt audio commentary.
