Not too sure why I think VHS is as cool as I do - I guess it's nostalgia for something I missed out on perhaps. It's a little bit weird - explains the strange looks I get looking through boxes of VHS at boot fairs!
How old are you? I'm 19 and I used to love buying horror films on video.

Or is it just that you moved from VHS to DVD early?

I'm 23, Stefan. I probably didn't get into horror properly until about 13/14 and by then (2003), DVDs were getting more and more popular, so I started collecting those.

Ah ok. I just have fond memories of going into Music Zone and buying the Child's Plays for £4 each on video which I thought was amazing at the time. The £20 prices on those dvds put me off a tad.

The girl MTDS, who is 8 really wants to see "Child's Play" after seeing a picture of Chucky. Being the sensible parent I am, I told her she couldn't watch it, not because it is unsuitable for children but because it's shit!

I've only ever seen the original 'Child's Play', and that was on TV. I've seen bits and pieces of the sequels over the years but I'm not really into killer doll movies. I seem to recall quite liking Stuart Gordon's 'Dolls' though.

You just made me laugh tea out of my nose, i might also need a new keyboard now too. lol.

i recently re watched 1,2 and 3 with my fiancee, she couldn't believe worm tongue from the lord of the rings is the voice of chucky. (she is a very big lord of the rings fan)

i enjoy the films but they wouldn't be in my list of ten films to grab in a house fire... (i need to make that a thread)

For me when I saw lord of the rings is was what's chucky doing playing worm tongue.

On topic the first one would be the first and second as rented them both from my local video store.

I always wanted to get the full size doll of Chucky when I was younger. Only knew about it because I know of someone who bought their son and daughter one, but they were scared of it so they put it in the corner of the room facing the wall. I was dead jealous. If I had a Chucky I would tuck him into bed every night and give him on kiss on the cheek. He is such a cutie.
Lol similar to me then . I've got one and keep saying to people isn't he cute and I get funny looks , but I dont tuck him into bed tho

Tbh I was leaving school same year as the Nastie brigade was kicking off in 1984 , and I can honestly say I had already seen quite a few of them already before they got took of the shelf..
