I just received the US release which looks excellent on blu-ray and it was nice to finally see the film with a decent transfer.

The extras are also worthwhile as I'd never seen Trancers City of Angles before and the commentary is also pretty good if you're into that sort of thing.

Hopefully the rest of the series will follow to complete the set

Band mentioned in one of his recent videos that Trancers 2 is next, so hopefully we will see the rest. More than likely it'll just be the first 3, like Puppet Master & Subspecies though.

I don't really mind if we just get Trancers 1-3 on blu-ray

I never really felt the same about the rest of the series and personally feel that the remaining sequels actually harmed the first film as the series went on.

This is one set of films where I would have been happier with just the one film being made as the first seems like an outright classic with the others no where near matching up in plot, budget or even acting.

Of course I'll still buy the others if they come out though.

I was also impressed with the Trancers Blu-ray, from Full Moon. Despite being a fan of the original movie, I had never seen the 1.5 segment from Pulse Pounders. Whilst being as "cheap as chips" it was fun to see Tim Thomerson and Helen Hunt again. Like a Marvel One-Shot, it also explains their fraught relationship, which continues into Trancers 2.
So far, I've learnt a few new things about the production. I hadn't realised how much energy and enthusiasm Tim Thomerson had (and still has) to the point that he was told to reign it in whilst playing Deth.
It was a pricey disc to get from the US (£25 all in) outside of ordering Twilight Time exclusives, but it was worth it to me.

I think I'll wait and see if it'll be £7.99 in HMV like the previous 3 88 Films BD releases.

Watched the film and extras, including the commentary with Band & Thomerson today. The disc has definitely been worth the wait. After years of the dvds using the old ladsrdisc transfer, seeing it on blu-ray is like seeing it for the first time. I really hope this sells enough to convince 88 Films to put out the sequels, as Trancers II is out soon on blu-ray from Full Moon in the US.
