My pumpkin which was carved on October 24th still looks great. If you excuse the burn marks at the back where the candle fell and scorched it.

It's kept it's shape really well and hasn't gone soft at all.

I'm thinking of smothering myself in petroleum jelly so i won't age and deteriorate anymore.

I'm sure that's not the only reason for you doing it...

Tell all your neighbours, put earplugs in so you can't hear, then have a good old game of 'catch me if you can'.

I think I need an intervention, I'm planning my marathon already...and it's only January!

I'm sure it'll change quite a bit by October, and there's space for some surprise releases. I seriously need help.

I've decided The Barn is going to be my main Halloween viewing this year, after watching the trailer. It looks right up my street.

The Barn looks interesting. Is it available on disc? or will it be available in time for Halloween do you know?

I wasn't over impressed with Lost After Dark. I watched it as part of my Decemberdike fest and thought it generic and very darkly lit.

You have a fine selection of Italian films lined up for your mid section viewing. Last House on the Beach is terrific. Actually the first four all are. I am yet to see Amuck and Absurd.

Oh and don't feel bad for planning October yet. My December drawer of films is full already. If i purchase something better than what i have in the drawer then they get replaced and moved onto the general viewing pile. Usually come December the contents of the drawer won't resemble the contents as they are now.

The Barn only seems to be available from the maker's site (and Diabolik), which is going to make importing it a little costly. No idea if it'll work its way to the UK before Halloween.

Cheers, Baka. Unless it hits UK stores there's every chance i'll have forgotten about it come September.

It seems like a good opportunity to go through the £1 horror movies I picked up a few weeks ago from Music Magpie, trying to watch at least one each night and mix them with the usual horror classics which I tend to peruse every October. Although I'll be really busy with my dissertation (submission date is November 2), I'll try and write a couple of lines about each.
