So three things;

1) A one-off studio demo acetate... just given away to some kid, by Gene Simmons... I don't think so.

2) He then goes to school, goes home to get ready and then goes to a pool party where he knows they all hate him. All of this BEFORE he goes back home to listen to said acetate record OF HIS FAVOURITE METAL SINGER WHO RECENTLY DIED IN A FIRE!!

3) The main antagonist is one of the husbands from Desperate Housewives!

That aside, great 'Heavy Metal Horror' from the mid 80's about a metal kid being bullied by the popular kids when his haunted acetate records brings the spirit of Metal star Sammi Curr back to seek vengeance.
The most unbelievable thing about Trick or Treat is that Simmons gives something away.

Since when has it ever been known as Ragman?
Heisenberg likes this.

In Germany That's the title on the cover and the title card in the film.
Perhaps in the late 80s people in Germany weren't going around knocking on neighbours doors demanding free sweets

Probably more interested in knocking down walls.

The Washing Machine 1993.

After a body is seen in a washing machine, the police are called, Inspector Alexander Stacev is put on the case but no body is found and nobody is declared missing. He is drawn to a world of deceit and paranoia by three sisters.

Stylish thriller/horror by Ruggero Deodato made entirely in Budapest, he captivates some nice scenery and add in a blend of mix colours. The acting is done decently but not really great and main actresses can't keep their clothes on at times. The film flows well and can drift off slightly then back again, it can be viewed as a erotic thriller or erotic horror and a decent background score. Worth a watch.

Piranha 2 - The Spawning
A diving instructor and one of her students discover a body near a sunken ship, after digging around some more they discover a super breed of piranha.
Lance Henrikson, flying fish and some decent gore effects..... Great! So many subplots not so great.

The Craft 1996

New girl at school Sarah befriends 3 other girls and start practicing witchcraft and things go a bit far for them to handle.

Classic teen mild horror movie, its not scary or jumpy, it focuses on the main characters and their backgrounds trying to escape their lifestyle by what they think is a game and coincidences happen until they realise what they done is real. The actresses all play a good part even Fairuza Balk brings out her goth side and the film's portrayal to the art of the craft is well done and more believable.

What have they done to your daughters 1974.

After the discovery of a apparent suicide of a teenage girl, the police uncover a prostitution ring and try to put an end to it.

Decent crime/ horror from director Massimo Dallamano, very suspenseful from start to finish and good background score by Stelvio Cipriani which blends in well with the suspense and atmosphere. Claudio Cassalleni (Mountain of the cannibal god)plays the inspector trying to uncover the ring and forced to abide by the rules. Mario Adorf (The Tin Drum) plays the Inspector's colleague and uncovers some secrets..
This is is definitely one for giallo fans of crime thriller and horror.

Roger Cobb and his family return back to his fathers house in order to resolve a dispute with his step brother who is staking a claim to the house for a business project he is banking on. Roger refuses to sell the house sticking to the promise he made to his father that he would never sell it no matter what. The Cobbs return to town to pack up their belongings hoping to move into the old house for good but they are involved in a freak car accident and Roger is killed. Left devastated by his passing his wife and child move into the house anyway to honer Rogers wishes of keeping the house in the family much to the annoyance of the step brother. But its not the step brother and his business partners they need to be worried about when strange supernatural things start to happen in the house.

Terrible boring and pretty stupid just like the three previous films they really are a struggle to get through. The first thing that annoyed me was after the crash and they are deciding about turning off the life support machine i did laugh because the body was burnt to a crisp with no skin or legs it barely looked human and then the daughter has a wheelchair that looked like it was handed down to them from their victorian great great great great great great great grandparents and then there is the singing pizza oh sweet baby jesus the singing pizza. There is also a cop in the film that suddenly turns from 80s soccer mom into 1940s gangster TAKE EM AWAY BOYS SEEEEE WHHHHAAAAA.

The conclusion is that the House series is sh*t.

30 Days Of Unseen Horror

Day 12

0ee149028cc787c840b350e18650112f.jpg

The Knights Templar go on a rampage through a village believing everyone to be possessed by satan. They gather all the bodies both living and dead and they bury them in a mass grave. Fast forward to modern times and a cathedral has been built on top of the mass grave. When the new librarian removes a seal from the centre of a crucifix on the floor of the basement something evil is unleashed and things only get worse when a few groups of tourists get trapped in the cathedral.

I can't believe its taken me this long to see this film i absolutely loved it so much atmosphere and dark imagery along with some brutal deaths and a beautiful sinister soundtrack. Seeing the hooded characters scattered throughout the film gave a scenes of no escaping the horror that was to come like evil was following close behind at all times and your faith was sealed once you entered the church even just once. The Church is also very dream like the way its shot or maybe nightmarish would be a better word but either way its very striking. Its slightly hampered by bad dubbing so much of the dialogue just seemed so random stupid and out of place especially the old woman here have a biscuit they are so groovy

8/10
