Baba Yaga: The Devil Witch. A photographer meets a strange woman and begins to suspect she may be a witch. This may not be for everyone and seems a bit strange in some bits and does tend to trail off a bit. Isabelle De Funés plays the young photographer Valentina who meets Baba Yaga played by Caroll Baker (The Watcher in the woods) who seems to have a hold on Valentina. Her boyfriend Arno (George Eastman) thinks she is being silly. There is a bit of suspense and and can be atmospheric towards the end which I didn't expect, view with a open mind.

Watch Me When I Kill 1977. After a pharmacist is killed a young woman who witnessed the murder begins to be stalked by the killer. Decent giallo thriller/horror film that does require it's full attention to understand the plot of the film, it may be a bit slow but the plot is good with plenty of suspenseful moments. Paola Tedesco plays Mara who sees the murder happening and begins to be stalked. Paolo Malco stars alongside but his character seems a bit wooden even Up to the end which tried it's best to give out a twist. Might be worth with another viewing with more peace and quiet.

Fright Night 1985. A teenager thinks his new neighbour is a vampire, when nobody believes him he seeks tv personality Peter Vincent to rid of the vampire. This has always been a good vampire flick, Chris Sarandon (The Princess Bride) appearance as Jerry Dandridge is great and very charismatic. William Ragsdale (The Reaping) plays teen Charley who everyone thinks he watches too much tv and seeing things that are not real. Peter Vincent is played by Roddy McDowall (planet of the apes) who thinks he can take on any monster except real ones and brings in a bit of comedy humour. Tom Holland done a great job directing and adding a dark atmosphere with the house next door and a great soundtrack by Brad Fiedel.

Legend of the Witches (1970) A slice of Wyrd... part 'nature' film, part very serious (po-faced???) essay about witchcraft and occult rituals. Equal opportunity nudity abound, willies and boobs flapping about everywhere I think that the occult rituals have been re-enacted by actors, i'm very dubious that any coven would be populated by so many young, slim, good looking lads and lasses Some fantastic imagery here, nice creepy music score too, just a bit of a weird man in a white coat "I'm a qualified scientist" commentary! An interesting curiosity Rated X in its day!!

It's 90 minutes and it's paired with another 'Mondo doc' called Sacred Rites which is 45 minutes. There are some other docs on the disc as per usual with BFI Flipside so overall I think there is around 3 and half hours of stuff on there
