It'll be no surprise to anyone that I love Troll and Troll 2

If you have the limited edition Eureka BD the documentary The Best Worst Movie is fabulous and heart warming!

Have you done something bad you are trying to atone for?

If so i highly recommend Bruno Mattei's Zombies: The Beginning and Island of the Living Dead then say three Hail Mary's and your penance will be over no matter your wrongdoing.
I've done nothing wrong, asides from bust my ass off at work to the point of burning myself out completely.
Anyway:

Troll

First time viewing for me. great fun. The puppets are so adorable. Buechler does some fine work.

Watched The Thing From Another World (1951), which you'll all be pleased to hear still works ahem. It sure feels like a Hawks film with the ensemble cast and what have you. A joy to behold.

Silver Bullet (1985)

I've been wanting to watch this one for years, my mum and dad rented it when it came out and I saw it next to the video player when they were out, I was too scared to put it on... Fast forward 35 years, it wasn't scary, it wasn't even good, the characters are all a bit annoying and the voice over by the sister was distracting.

There are some good bits though, Everett McGill as the priest was entertaining, i'm trying to think of other good bits, I only watched it 24 hours ago and I'm drawing a blank lol...

Possessed. 2000.

In 1949, a broken down priest still recovering from his time in WWII, finds his faith restored when he is asked to help a 12 year old boy who is possessed.

Like The Exorcist that was inspired by the true story of this movie I always watch this at this time of year, made for T.V. flick, it is mild in a way, no head spinning, no hot pea soup being projectiled over anyone. Timothy Dalton plays father Bowdern who has never been involved in a exorcism and attempts to rid the evil. Entertaining and well acted.

The 13th reunion.

A female reporter is sent to report on a weight loss group , while there she becomes friends with one of the members , when he dies in mysterious circumstances she ends up investigating and stumbles on a sinister plot , involving missing bodies. A highly enjoyable episode.

Two brothers from Gatlin are adopted and end up in Chicago, older brother Joshua fits in and makes friends while younger brother Eli whom is a creepy little bastard worships he who walks behind the rows and might not be entirely human , those who get in Eli way soon meet a grisly demise. My favourite of the franchise with some good kills and gore and liked the change from the country too the big city.

Now watching.

Halloween 5: The Return Of Michael Myers. 1989.

A year after the previous Halloween night, Michael returns and goes in searches of his now mute niece.

I can't really remember seeing this all the way through, I always kind of think to myself how the heck can he still be alive any other normal person would be dead after being shot at with shotguns then remembered Loomis bragged about shooting him 6 times (H2) and he is not human.

Donald Pleasance seems to make this film entertaining finally whacking him upteen times before collapsing but at least he came back for the next movie. Danielle Harris returns as the niece who is still the target. Decent sequel into the franchise.

It would be a good entry if it wasn't for Danielle's mute overacting, the totally unlikeable new adult female lead, and those bumbling cops with the stupid music that plays whenever they appear onscreen
Demoncrat, trebor8273 and MrBarlow like this.
