The Phantasm films definitely need more balls!

As in flying ones but also the brazenness to use them to give the audience a kick to the bollocks rather than the pathetic tickle that Coscarelli offers.
Have you seen Ravager? It has thousands of balls but it's pretty crap

The best looking version is the US Kino release. However the Network one has a Newman / Jones commentary which adds greatly to the experience and that's the one i have.

Hang on!

You buy 186 films a week and you have to watch something off Netflicks?

Something's as fishy as the inspector's trawler round here.

Funnyman.

Really should of been called unfunny man, it has some interesting kills and ideas but 99% of the jokes fall flat and while the character of funnyman has some interesting lines I disliked how he would keep talking to the camera, Christopher Lee most of really been desperate for cash! 5/10

Film 1
large_MV5BYTQ1ZTE0OWMtYzE4ZC00YjVkLWFlNTctOGE1OTYyNmU4NzY5L2ltYWdlL2ltYWdlXkEyXkFqcGdeQXVyMjE5MD.jpg

A broken family hire a cult deprogrammer to rescue their son who has become a member of a murderous cult. They take him to their cabin out in the woods where absolutely nothing bad could happen when the nearest house is a mile away .

October is off to a bad start with this one the acting was pretty bad especially from the sons girlfriend nothing about her performance was believable and it got even worse when she tried to get emotional and cry I shouldn't put all the blame on her no one apart from Stephen Dorff could string two sentences together without me laughing.

What starts are a vulnerable family under siege suddenly turns into a cross between the A-Team and MacGyver when they start making weapons from household items such as a pickaxe with a knife stuck to the top of it It gets worse when it turns into an episode of bottom when the father instead of using one of the deadly weapons they are created decides to beat someone when a very very small frying pan

This is just a You're Next rip off and i hated that film too. Jackals is not recommended from me.

2/10

The cultists looked cool but apart from that a very dull affair.
