I think you should just get started. No one will care what you review just as long as you actually get cracking with it.

I would include Mario Bava's, BAY OF BLOOD. Most of the murders were copied for FRIDAY 13th pt 2.

I make a point to watch Bay of Blood every Friday the 13th, on its own or with a Friday 13th film.

It's not wise to discount supernatural elements, because when the bubble was deflating in the mid-eighties supernatural slashers like A Nightmare On Elm Street revitalised the flagging subgenre.
See personally (and i emphasise personally) i don't consider Elm Street or any of its sequels to be slashers. The character of Krueger and the way he kills are just too fantastical to consider him a slasher villain in my mind. I also don't really feel TCM is a slasher movie though it is closer than NOES.

I'm back Apologies for my absence, had a very very big week, with many exams, then post exam party, a friends 18th, girlfriend, new job, and more.

As for my definition, I've decided on no giallos, might remove modern ones unless they're especially good or iconic, and as for supernatural forces, I'll sit on the fence with that as a film I just saw changed my view on that.

Also watched House on Sorority Row which arrived yesterday, and Candyman, both of which are very high up (especially Candyman which makes top 10 horror films for me I'm sure).

Now one last question. Should the reviews be, alphabetical, random, best to worst or worst to best, or maybe even year?

Does it really matter?

The minute you close your options down the more a chore it will become for you.

Here's what Holly would say.

Redemption by steel sounds like a late 70s, early 80s metal band.
