I think these things are quit expensive + you need someone to handle it + the license holder probably wouldn't like to let the original materials out of their hands + mere scanning is obviously just the first step etc.

Even some companies that specialize in film restoration don't have all the stuff in one place but cooperate with other companies.

88 Films have now updated the indegogo page to state their new goal, with £3,500 to go to reach their target:

'Since we launched this campaign we have been able to track down a film element for Burial Ground / Nights of Terror that we would like to transfer in 2K to create a new master for that title as well.
