Default What's The Most You've Paid For An Item For Your Collection?

Knowing the passionate lot you are, I'm sure some of you have gone beyond the call of duty (monetary wise) in order to secure that elusive item for your collection whether it be a poster, dvd, book, etc. So I thought it be interesting to know how much some of you have been willing to pay to obtain said item & what was your most expensive. Being a huge fan of Brit Horror I recently forked out 60 odd pounds to obtain a copy of the book "Amicus: the studio that dripped blood" by Alan Bryce which has been out of print for a while. Look forward to seeing what little gems some of you have obtained.

Very nice, especially THE KEEP. My most expensive items tend to be posters. My pride & joy is probably my original Australian daybill of THE BEYOND which I think I paid about £40 for about three years ago. My most expensive is my Japanese BLADE RUNNER poster. That cost me £75 over TEN YEARS AGO!!

Not everything I paid a lot for is strictly Horror/Cult stuff.

I did pay about £36 for the Pete Walker coffin box set, about £40'ish for my Maniac tin and the max I've paid for a hardbox so far is about £30.

I paid about £55 for my original Doctor Who Key to Time Limited Edition box set which go for about £90 now used and about £150 new, although they have re-released it in a non-limited set now so theres probably less people buying the limited version.

Thats Easy, By far the most expensive for me was the Stargate Box set @ £97.00 for Season 1-10

Other Than that it got to be the (German Import) Indiana Jones & TKOTCS 2 disc Special Edition with the Crystal Skull Statue. @ £30.00

There's a fair few releases in my DVD collection i've paid a fortune for and the most expensive if i recall rightly must be the following:

Grindhouse (Japanese edition £70)

Spider Man (French wooden crate set £150 and the Japanese gift set £60.)

Spider Man 2 & 3 (Japanese gift sets £60 each.)

Death Wish 1 - 5 (Australian 'Vigilante Collection' edition £150)

The above prices are to the best of my knowledge correct and there's more titles to come in later posts. I just have to note 'em down first!
