Default LEGION

After 27 years Morgan Creek productions have released William Peter Blatty's original cut of Exorcist 3:Legion. According to Blatty the footage was lost and forgotten and he campaigned to have it searched for. Now that he has passed away (may he rest in peace). All of a sudden the lost footage has been found and restored. I think it's a insult to his memory. Any other thoughts about it?

I think the new cut Of the Exorcist 3 was released a few months before he died via scream factory in the U.S, so not a sudden cash in at all.
I'm sure he would have been happy it finally got some kind of release.

I have the Scream Factory release, but I've only given the disc a quick spin so far. I have seen people say they still prefer the theatrical version, but that could be because original negative with the director's cut footage couldn't be found and it's been reconstructed from a full screen vhs tape they managed to get, which would take you out of the film with the sudden drop of quality and aspect ratio.
