FrightFest London 2018
 

"The 2018 edition will again be based at the Cineworld and Prince Charles Cinemas on Leicester Square, in London's West End and the dates are 23rd to 27th August. The programme of films will be announced at 2 PM on 28th June. Festival and day passes will be available from noon on Saturday, June 30th with single tickets at noon on Saturday, 21st July. Ticket prices will be confirmed mid June."

FRIGHTFEST | FILMS/EVENTS

I've been umming and Ahhing about going to frightfest now for years but I've never got round to it. Do they tend to show many classic films there or is it all new releases these days?

I have my hotel and train tickets booked! Just hoping I don't have any trouble getting tickets now, because my hotel is non-refundable. :lol: Really looking forward to it, had such a great time last year, and some of the movies I ended up loving were things I probably wouldn't have normally went out of my way to see. The only issue was carrying home all the free swag and my purchases from the stands (and Fopp). I'm hoping (but not expecting) to see either Halloween or Suspiria on there. I fear it may be too early for both though.

Baka - What films do you recommend from last year and have they since come out on disc?

I think I posted a list somewhere on here, no idea where, but my favourites were Tragedy Girls, 68 Kill, Better What Out, The Villainess and The Bar. I enjoyed the vast majority of what I'd seen, things like Dead Shack, Game Of Death, Lowlife and Sequence Break are well worth checking out too. No idea what is and isn't available on disc, I know Better What Out and The Villainess both got releases, 68 Kill did too, sadly DVD only here.

I also find myself gravitating towards films that were shown at previous FrightFest's, I caught It Stains The Sands Red on Shudder and found it really entertaining. One of those concepts where you can't believe they quite got away with it, especially when the penny drops why the film is titled 'It Stains The Sands Red'.
