Watched a cracking little British double bill yesterday.
Tigon's HAUNTED HOUSE OF HORROR,followed by Jack Clayton's THE INNOCENTS.
When watching The Innocents,it's easy to see where Shymalan and Amenabar grabbed some ideas from.

HHOH has always been a favourite of mine. It was one of the first non-Hammer colour horror films I ever saw as a kid, along with Fright.

I really must get around to buyinf Fiend. Haven't seen it since i was a kid.

The first horror i ever saw was either The Blob (Remake) or Nightmare on Elm Street. I cant really remember but it was definitely one of those two.

Go for the US or Australian release. The UK DVD features the cut cinema print.

Hardly a British classic but one of my favourites features the classic British horror pairing of Peter Cushing & Christopher Lee, Horror Express. This really needs a decent release, all I've got at the moment is the full screen Cinema Club disc which features the BBC's print of the movie.

Some people hate it but I also enjoyed the Cushing/Lee Nothing But The Night.
