I really need to re-watch The Howling as I haven't seen it in ages and have seen An American Werewolf in London several times since then.

Which is the best - The Howling or An American Werewolf In London? - I just think it's great to have had two classic werewolf films to debate.
I really enjoyed Bad Moon as well. It hardly ever gets a mention. I need to seek it out again. It's avaible on R1 dvd on a 4 film collection with Wolfen, Coma and Bodysnatchers.

That sounds like something I should really have in my collection -- my bank account will be cursing you!

Actually I'm wondering if it was "Bad Moon" I was thinking of!? I'll have to go check out the trailer! Ok, Bad Moon is on my list now! Don't recall ever seeing it!

Personally as far as being scary I would say the Howling. American Werewolf was a bit more comedic in tone. Both had great effects though for the time!

Yes, the effects really went up a gear when they made American Werewolf In Paris.

I hope my massive sarcasm came across in that post.

An American Werewolf in London

The man to wolf transformation is amazing. No CGI crap like most modern day genre films. Plus I always had a thing for Jenny Agutter who played the nurse. Great film!
